2017 We visited New Brunswick twice on this trip. Once on the South and Eastern side while travelling in and again on the Northwestern side when leaving PEI on the way to Quebec. Arriving we crossed at the Calias/St Stephen crossing into NB. We took Hwy 1 North to the 114 to Alma then North to the Hopewell Rocks were we stayed at the Chocolate River Motel and Campground for $36 CDN per night with full hookups. Not much of a place but got the job done. Everything else was full. From here we travelled to Pictou, NS. Leaving, we travelled from PEI to Belledune, NB 955-15-8-11 to Jacquet River Campground where we spent the night. The 955 was a very rough and narrow road. Good thing it was not too long a stretch. Note: We did actually visit NB the third time. This time it was to Campobello Island which is only accessible by land from Maine, USA. Don't miss the photos of this visit. See it it by clicking HERE or clicking the Maine link on the travel map. |
